Woody the Schnoodle - A Grass Muncher

My Schnoodle, Woody, had me up twice in the night, once at 1.00am and then at 3.00am.  He never gets us up so I knew he must be feeling unwell or something else was a sign that all was not well.

When I got downstairs he needed to go out in the garden immediately, he was looking for grass but we don’t have any in our backyard and I was not about to go out to the cricket pitch out the front of my house, dressed in my nightwear like ‘wee willy winkie’ scaring all the neighbourhood.

Woody must have felt very uncomfortable for some time and in the end I slept on the sofa with the back doors open and him in and out of the yard like a ‘fiddler’s elbow.

Feeling very sluggish when I finally woke at 6.00am all seemed well with Woody and it all seems to have passed without further incident.

I tried to look up why dogs eat grass and whilst there seems to be speculation there does not seem to be any scintific evidence to support the grass eating.  I am sure though they eat it to make themselves vomit, Woody always does.  He searches for just the right type of grass, not just any type of grass.

If you have any ‘grass eating’ stories or information to share with all of our readers let us know.
