Woody the poodle x, hybrid dog

The Poodle x hybrid dog is not recognised by the ‘dog world’ as breeds of dogs in their own right.  Often the dogs are referred to as designer dogs, which in my opinion makes them sound like an accessory, maybe some people do choose the hybrids for that reason, who knows.

For me the choosing of a poodle x was simply the mix of the Schnauzer characteristics and the poodle dog’s high intelligence.  I was a seasoned Schnanzer owner already having rehomed a 5 year old Standard Schnauzer, Henry, until his sad death from a brain tumour when he was 10.  My other Schnauzer dog was a Miniature Schnauzer, Sonny, who we had from a pup until his death, aged 14 in 2010.

I am totally in love with my Schnoodle dog, Woody, and so are the rest of our household.  Sadly the cats don’t feel the same way, they want peace and quiet and he has a terrible habit of jumping on, to encourage play time, when they are asleep.  I am sure sometimes I can see them mouth’ pesky darn dog’
