Not for the feint hearted, nor to view the post over a meal. A dog poo womery is a possible solution to the huge amount of dog waste, disgracefully left on the sidewalk (by irresponsible dog owners) and those (by responsible dog owners) who deposit there pet waste in specially designated dog poop bins.
Putting this waste to good use is not only a eco friendly approach to the arbon footprint but will provide compost for flowering plants.
I made myself familiar with the process of turning the dog poop into compost and it consists of a either a commercially designed compost bin, or you can make your own bin.
Worms, not just your ordinary worms, are a vital part of the breaking down process.
Despite this being a ‘nasty’ subject and not one to bring up at the dinner table, I think it is a fascinating subject which could, if adopted by councils, could signal a solution to landfill problems, or at least in part.
I might take this further and interview a company that sells dog poo wormeries.
What do you think about this option to reduce landfill and put dog poop to good use?
