The holiday season is nearly upon us, well the planning stage anyway. If you are making your gift list you might want to check this item out, it is the NEW MUST HAVE TOY, as featured on the Jonathan Ross show recently Doggy Doo. It involves a plastic dog, a pot of playdoh and a squeezy type of dog leash attached to the dog.
I leave the rest of the details to the Doggy Doo video

Woody the Schnoodle - A Grass Muncher
My Schnoodle, Woody, had me up twice in the night, once at 1.00am and then at 3.00am. He never gets us up so I knew he must be feeling unwell or something else was a sign that all was not well.
When I got downstairs he needed to go out in the garden immediately, he was looking for grass but we don’t have any in our backyard and I was not about to go out to the cricket pitch out the front of my house, dressed in my nightwear like ‘wee willy winkie’ scaring all the neighbourhood. Puppy biting and chewing can drive puppy parents wild.
Here we discuss a solution to cease the problem Stop Puppy Biting
Following the Puppy Diary update written by new Schnoodle puppy owner Ian, I caught up with Ian on a course he was running in London last week.
He had mentioned in his post that his new Schnoodle was doing exactly what all puppy’s do, chewing and biting. I can remember with all of my previous pups and Woody it is something I never thought would end. Read the rest of this entry »

Cow print rain boots
Brrrrhh, daylight hours are shortening , which means the autumn days are drawing in.
My thoughts are turning to unpacking all the winter coats, hats, gloves and sturdy waterproof footwear for my dog walking. Provided I am dry and warm I love walking Woody, my Schnoodle, at any time of the year, come rain or shine. Read the rest of this entry »
A Kong Toy
Your new puppy is not dissimilar to a human baby, it will use its mouth to explore surroundings and objects. Teaching acceptable behaviour is part of the learning process and you as the adult have to help them learn.
It can be very frustrating for a new puppy owner to come home to find your shoes chewed up, but then leave them lying around and puppy will see them as a toy. Read the rest of this entry »

Puppy crate and potty training
By nature, puppies, can’t stand to live and eat in the same area with his dog mess.

Guest Post by Ian Davies
As a rather reluctant owner of a new puppy, I travelled with my wife Lesley, son Jonathan, and his girlfriend Jordan, to Southend-on-Sea from Milton Keynes to collect Jasper, our 8 week old Schnoodle.
Jonathan and Lesley have been keen for a new edition to the family for a long time, and the pressure on me to say ‘yes’ has grown.
I am a dog lover. There is no doubt about that. Having had dogs throughout my youth, I have always enjoyed their company, the endless fun, the long walks and true companionship no other animal can ever give. However, now in my 50s, I have responsibilities I didn’t have back then and, whilst the excitement and joy of buying a puppy is a wonderful experience, there are a lot of factors to consider. I want to jump at you
Picture the scene if you will, walking down the street in your newly laundered and ironed trousers.
Whoosh, dog with muddy paws jumps gleefully up at you leaving his paw prints all over your clothing.
Grrrhhh, how irritating. To make the situation worse the owner yells bad dog, NO! You think, bad owner, very bad owner. Whose fault it is really, dog or owner? Read the rest of this entry »

In my attempt to reduce the landfill with my dog poop contents and bag, which is not a recycled one, simply a diaper disposal bag, I am going to start my Dog Poop Wormery Project shortly. Read the rest of this entry »
